WEAK
This moment in history provides us with incontrovertible evidence that all the conservatives who claim to be extremely devoted to freedom of speech and the right to bear arms, and opposed to the encroachment of tyranny, are completely and totally full of shit.

It's all white supremacy and greed.

They killed an unarmed woman in broad daylight. They killed an armed man in broad daylight.

It doesn't matter who you are, or what you do. They will kill you.

they're executing moms and nurses in the street. they're using preschoolers as bait. they're stealing people's dads and grandmas and children. they're tear gassing babies. they're staking out schools. there is no remedy but abolition. any proposal that doesn't start there is an act of violence.

It does not matter whether Alex Pretti was armed or unarmed. He entirely has that right, and that right should be exercised by more people. What matters is that he did not fire upon ICE and was executed while laying prone on the ground

At the end of the day, the Black Lives Matter era was about whether people should be killed in the street, and lots of people decided yeah and put those little blue flags on their cars. It spread to everyone because it stopped for no one.

"The states of the United States predate the United States. It is federal courts that are limited. Not state courts"
I wasn't sure what to expect from a group of Democratic state AGs, but I definitely was not expecting a long monologue about Ruby Ridge and the Boston Massacre www.theverge.com/policy/86588...

But "Abolish the Police" was too extreme...
if you cant instruct your local police to surround schools to protect them from ice because youre scared the cops will turn around and instead help kidnap children then you should state that plainly and clearly

The community built in 2020 has been unleashed
I came to Minneapolis to report on what's going on, and one of the main questions I showed up with is "just what is the scale of the resistance?" After all, we're all used to the news calling Portland a "war zone" or whatever when it's just some protests in one part of town.

Disrespectfully, I do not care about the opinions of a town of less than 2k, nor are they relevant in any manner
That “How Nisswa Views Minneapolis” daydrinkers article you saw online a few days ago ago is on the front page of today’s printed Sunday New York Times

Seattle Parks and Recreation now has a new logo. This will be rolled out slowly and will gradually replace the previous logo. It's supposed to represent:
"- A reflection of nature.
- The seven hills of Seattle.
- Our mountains and waterways.
- A sense of awe and inspiration"

Forcing me—an otherwise extremely masculine hunk of a man—to carry what we used to call a "woman's self defense whistle" to battle rampaging federal goon squads, is all part of Trump's plan to emasculate the American male. Now I go "twee twee twee" all day long, like a girl.

Having studied a range of historical reform movements, revolutions, and failed revolts, it’s been fascinating to watch the interplay between liberals & leftists (or moderates & radicals), in their various shades, as both try to oppose the ICE presence in Minnesota.

"They want an excuse to fire on protesters."

"They're looking for a reason to declare martial law. Don't..."

Ah. See, they're already doing and saying whatever they want. They're putting people in camps and murdering people at will.

Our behavior doesn't drive theirs.

Reminder that we are a year into aggressive ICE raids and concentration camps, and there’s not a single example of local cops protecting people against this violence, kidnapping, or death.

If the United States Constitution doesn’t protect you from a federal agent shooting you in the face for the “crime” of turning your car around, it doesn’t exist. ICE has become a paramilitary force with zero oversight and a Secretary in Kristi Noem who encourages the chaos. ENOUGH.

Another good practice for the New Year would be for all the non-fascists in America who want to opine about politics to really begin believing that urban America is Real America & that its denizens are The Authentic People. Get some self-respect & drop the volkish nationalist view that they're not
And I think liberals should stop taking the bait and ceding ground on immigration.

Immigration is good. Multiculturalism is good. Free trade is good. Stop being embarrassed to say so.
