Music, baseball, soccer, tennis, CFB, coffee, beer, whiskey, etc. Always go to the show.

Harvard, FSU, Bayern, ATLUTD, Hibs, Ferrari, US(M/W)NT

There will be baseball here, but this is not exclusively, and maybe not even primarily, a work account.

"The Room" by Ostura (from Lebanon) is the best metal album I've ever heard, with the penultimate song "Duality" being one of my favorites.

I like the metal from Europe/Asia far better than American bands. Examples: Evergrey, Vanden Plas, Seventh Wonder.

Special shout out to Thrice, though.

The Great Lakes. All of them. Whenever I see one, it’s thrilling. I know a lot about freighters, and the way Lake Michigan looks in all kinds of weather, and the cadence of the waves that gets in your bones when you lie on a raft for hours.

Tell me what you love.
Gotta say: a lot more interested in the foods you like, the albums you love to listen to, the movies you rewatch. Maybe that makes me a Pollyanna or someone not motivated to recreate the Rage Bait Industrial Complex again so the worst folks get elevated once again.

I love making the foods that people love for people.

One of the largest reasons I miss being a cook. Also one of the largest reasons that Thursday is my Super Bowl.

You should eat what you want. You should let other people eat what they want. It doesn't make you cool or smart or edgy or better to make a big deal about how you don't like some popular food. Just don't eat it.

Share a 90s movie you think deserves more love.

Just an utterly entertaining, rewatchable movie with about 4 plot twists too many and some gloriously over the top performances.

“Welcome to the game” is one of my favorite line deliveries ever. And of course the Baldwin “I am God” speech.

I just want Alford/McCulloch/Collins to answer, directly, this question:

Why should I continue to invest time, money, emotional energy into this program when you are making it clear that you are fine with mediocrity? With being noncompetitive with rivals, with getting trounced in recruiting.
