FT SNELLING WAS NOT BUILT AS A CONCENTRATION CAMP.

Get your facts right, people. Please.
“They’re taking them to Ft Snelling which was literally built as a concentration camp.”
Here's @schwesbomb.bsky.social clashing with CNN's Jake Tapper.

My former student Sofia wrote this story for @startribune.com. She’s less than a year out of college and helping cover the biggest story in the country. I am very proud of her.
Two women trained as first responders were abducted by three ICE agents. One of the agents starts seizing. The other two don’t know what to do. The women jump into action and save the agent’s life, only to be re-handcuffed and processed.

Detained by ICE, two women became first responders during agent’s seizure
The women say they guided agents through the emergency, later raising concerns about medical protocols, weapons safety and accountability.

India’s holdings of US Treasury bonds have fallen to a 5-year low as the nation pushes to support its currency and diversify its reserves.
People “are looking to diversify away from US assets, and I would kind of describe it as quiet-quitting of US bonds" www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

Yes!

As evidence I submit the guy who is the rep for the congressional district south of me. He has been rock solid maga but in the last 2 months, he’s backpedaled like crazy. Apparently he sees the writing on the protest signs.
I've been thinking a lot lately about what the Trump administration is doing to the Republican party in states like MN and OR (the state I'm most familiar with). One thing I've noticed is that OR Republicans seem to be slowly reckoning with the fact that their brand has become toxic to voters.
If the admin's strategic goal was to break public resistance to immigration enforcement activities, it was a tactical mistake to go to the Twin Cities.

Wow. Today is so inspiring! I feel much better watching all the protests today. And in dead winter.

Let me be clear: I cannot vote for legislation that gives ICE even more funding to terrorize our communities.

Not after 2025 was the deadliest year on record to be in ICE custody in two decades.

Not after they killed a mom in cold blood with zero accountability.

From NYT. Because that’s how we Americans do things.

“Natural gas prices have soared on the expectation that this storm will cause demand to rise ….As of Friday morning, prices were up around 66 percent in the past week ….— and much more in some parts of the country.”

This. But also, I can't stand the phrase, "I wrote a new blog."

No you didn't, you wrote a post on your blog! The blog holds the posts. Geez Louise that frustrates me more than it should...
I wish people would stop using the term "Substack" as a medium instead of blog/newsletter. It's hugely detrimental, often excluding writers who chose other platforms. If I referred to Pellicle as my "Squarespace" that would just be fucking weird.
