The biggest fallacy in the history of pro wrestling is that the length of a title reign matters. Samoa Joe was champion for 35 days in 2025 & it repositioned the entire main event scene for 2026. Hangman was "only" champion for 4 months & his success forced WWE to stop counterprogramming.
Not every title reign needs to be a long ass one just for the sake of having a long title reigns. That's how Title reigns in the Fed gets stale very quickly. Plus most of their Champions barely wrestling once they hold the title belt doesn't help either.

Typically, if an outcome isn't predictable, the match has had no build or built so well that there are multiple routes the aftermath can go. In most cases, narratively, you want the outcome to be predictable because there's a story that you can follow.
think I've passed my limit on "the outcome was predictable" as, by itself, a useful criticism of wrestling matches. if you're over 5 and have paid attention for more than six months pretty much every outcome is predictable. like a solid 90%.
