There are no circumstances where human beings should be without food. There are no qualifications that make someone undeserving of access to food. If you are a human being, you should get food. I don’t care about ability, job status, legal status, or anything else. If people are hungry, feed them.

Give money. Food banks get WAY more bang for your buck. Every $1 can provide as much as 3 meals.

But they will happily take that can of the wrong soup you grabbed by mistake.

Low-stakes, high-certainty take of the day:

this is, objectively and scientifically, the best way to reheat pancakes

a pot with a lid sits on a stove burner. Through condensation on the pot lid you can see the blurry outline of some pancakes sitting in parchment paper.

The same pot with the lid off. You can now see that the pancakes are sitting in a parchment paper nest inside a steamer basket in the pot. Notably, the water level must be well below the bottom of the steamer basket as there is no water visible except around the edges of the steamer basket.
