Thank you @theurbanist.org @seattletru.bsky.social @sngreenways.bsky.social @transpochoices.bsky.social and every volunteer and advocate fighting for better mobility, connection, and safety on our streets. This is a shared win and something to celebrate.

if you have nothing left but to criticize your opponent for inspiring hope with their passion and great ideas…… you’re cooked, man. it’s over.

In his closing statement, Harrell said, "This is not the time for hope. Passion and great ideas and inexperience is just not going to get us there. Trump will walk all over a person without experience, period."

Seattle renters - who make up the majority of the city - identifying areas of the city they're systemically excluded from living in and pushing for change is Good Actually

In somewhat of a rebuke to the idea of council district privilege, Rob Saka was just the only vote against creating an Alki Neighborhood Center, though four other councilmembers abstained from the vote.

Saka painted supporters of an Alki NC as not actually living in the area - well, yeah.

While renters are "growth" that must be "mitigated" by requiring every part of the city to accept a fair share of them, house owners are "community" who deserve a veto over whether and how anyone else can live near them

in fact, i would go so far as to say that, of all the Best Desserts I listed, that chocolate cream pie is my all-time favorite dessert. I could eat it every day.

I cannot emphasize this enough: you have not had my chocolate cream pie.

started combing through other folks' lineups and everyone else I saw who added a cookie category also chose chocolate chip, so I guess the obvious answer is it wasn't included because there's no contest 🙂

this has been going on too long for me to be the first person to complain about it, but after the Ross on 3rd and pike stopped blasting Journey to deter crowds from forming at the bus stop, they instead started looping an ear-splitting, ringing frequency which is psychologically torturous to endure

I really am deliriously proud of this one. I’m so inspired by all of the brilliant artists who put their heads and hands and hearts on it, including some very old friends. What an honor. We had a beautiful opening weekend, please come see it before it’s over.

Katie Wilson now has 50.7% in the Seattle mayor's race; incumbent Bruce Harrell has 41.2.

AND, in the latest batch of votes that were counted (late votes, generally younger/more progressive), Wilson has 58% to Harrell's 35%—the earliest mail-in votes were the most pro-Harrell.
