Tēnā koutou katoa,
Now that Bluesky has video, thought I'd do quick introduction in New Zealand Sign Language (NZSL) for fellow Deaf folk.

My name is Jasmin, I'm Deaf, live here in Aotearoa NZ.

I grew up mainstreamed, oral, NZSL is my second language.

I call this the Olive technique and, yes, it is a great way to help. Not only for the here and now which is urgency and survival, but will even be of value for forensics and future historians, etc.
Never forget that every account deleted is a testimony, more importantly, an identity.
Palestinian accounts are being deleted within hours if that now.

All I can advice is to do what they ask and repost their message with photos so they can share and tag, it's going to make your notifications fill, but it's the only way right now.

ICE killed an ICU nurse today. A healthcare worker. Where have we seen this before let’s use our thinking skills. We have completely devalued human life nothing matters no one matters. At some point we have to stand up for the most vulnerable people.

Also, I've found over the quarter century I've been in the workforce that the biggest determinate of what you're paid isn't what qualifications you have, it's the union density at your workplace

I've done 'unskilled' industrial jobs that paid the same as some of the 'skilled' IT jobs I've done

“Over the past ten years New Zealand has averaged 55.9 days annually under a State of Emergency each year, and 66.6 days over the last five. In the 10 years prior to this, New Zealand averaged only 13.4 days per year.”

Quick Q - how does recovery work with a rates cap in place and no govt. support🤔
