It's weird how all the studies show that a 4-day week and UBI makes societies wealthier, more productive, and happier, but the RW govt types keep insisting on unemployment, austerity, longer hours, and shit labour rights

🚨 Did you know? Indoor air can be 5x worse than outdoor air! During winter, we close our windows to stay warm, but that traps pollutants like:
❌ Mould spores
❌ Dust and allergens
❌ Cooking fumes and more

Stay warm AND breathe clean! ❄️

The question is no longer whether Britain needs to repair our relationship with Europe, but rather when will the Government will act on it. The country cannot afford another decade of hesitation.

this is a direct consequence of the decisions made by the US to slash foreign health aid. BUT many European countries (inc UK) have also cut aid.
"For the first time in 25 years, child mortality rates for preventable diseases are projected to increase, after having declined for 25 years."

This is the legacy of aid cuts. ~AA

So love wobbegongs. Everything is good about the wobbegong. Its name. Its flattened Oscar the Grouch face. Its frondy bits. Its lazy life as a hungry rug. And it’s a shark. Outstanding animal 10/10
The Tasselled Wobbegong is a master of disguise that can eat a fish almost as big as itself in one gulp. It's classified as a shark, but when it lays on the sea floor it looks like a harmless rug if you manage to see it. But with powerful jaws and sharp teeth they are no fish to mess with.

The calls from America this weekend to "abolish the EU" are for one simple reason: the EU is the only thing that can keep European nation-states from becoming Russian or American vassals.
The US has declared rhetorical war on the EU
The calls from America this weekend to destroy the EU are revealing. They hate the union because it's the only thing that can keep European countries from being Russian or American vassals.

"If we want to protect ourselves, not only from adversaries but also allies we challenge, we need to strengthen. Sometimes we doubt Europe’s power. What I see is so many people trying to undermine Europe; if Europe isn't strong why do so many people seek to undermine it?"

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Parliament supports new EU rules to ensure third country lobbying is transparent. Paid work for non-EU countries would require registration with national systems, strong safeguards for civic space, and neutral, factual data.
