Took me awhile, but finally finished this. Great read from a time when politics was a different game.

“In London cyclists now outnumber cars in the City by 2 to 1. Paris, where they now outnumber motorists across the whole city, is catching up with Europe’s traditional bike capitals, Amsterdam & Copenhagen…In Copenhagen, bikes account for almost half of commuter trips to work/school.” @economist.com

How to design safer intersections:

1. Near-sided signals. Placed before the bike/ped crossing, they prevent drivers from creeping into the path.

2. Pavement differentiation. High-contrast, colored crossings (like this red asphalt) clearly establish priority and command driver attention.

Northside Park?

This is a big deal because public space only works if the public shows up, and having food trucks and other types of vendors at parks will encourage people not only to visit, but to stay there and hang out a while.

This country would be a lot better off if we didn’t have chain stores and fast food and instead had mom and pop businesses that kept money in a community and gave every town and city its own unique flare. But every city looks like the next and all the money goes to Wall Street banks.

Guys, every person you see on Fox News in a mask is just Robert O'Neill, retired Navy Seal and occasional Fox News contributor. He's the former Antifa, former Gazan, former gang member. His eyes are very unique.

Is that really the charge? Does Bondi think lying to Congress should be prosecuted? Interesting.

It is! But people won’t cycle if they have to share space with cars. People need to feel safe before they start riding regularly.
