Trump: "I took my physical. I got all As. Everything. But they said to me, 'would you like to take a cognitive test?' I said, 'Is it hard?' They said, 'yes.' I said, 'Well, I'm a very smart person. Who was the last president to take one?' 'No president has ever agreed to take one' ... I aced it."

Jesus, what a horrible line-up.
Going through photos from the season and so pleased with myself for thinking to capture the starting outfield on the night the Brewers got their franchise-record 14th straight win.

Sir, one would need to have character, first....
Indiana GOP Sen. Bohacek on Trump's use of r-word: "When it seems quite clear we're isolating a population by use of a slur, at some point you have to speak out... it's a word used to denigrate the intellectually disabled community... you can't validate slurs like that... it's a matter of character"

Breaking: Marjorie Taylor Greene to resign from the House. I don't like her, I don't trust her, but god help me I'm beginning to respect her, and begin again to believe in the power of recovery

It’s fun to think about the surgeon who will botch your surgery 20 years from now and what he’s doing at this moment. He just ran all his homework through ChatGPT. He just read that article about vaccines and autism at the CDC website. He just watched an Instagram video about the moon landing hoax.

And it's spectacular.
This is neither here nor there, but the current plot of South Park is that Trump is (graphically) cheating on Satan—who is pregnant by him—with a sycophantic JD Vance, who’s a) trying to prevent the baby from
being born and b) being portrayed as Hervé Villechaize from Fantasy Island

The first logical thing Dear Leader has said in 10 years ...

I don't particularly expect a second.

And I fully expect him to double down on the corruption and efforts to interfere with the 2026 mid-terms.

But even a broken clock is right twice per day.
Trump to Republican senators: "I thought we'd have a discussion after the press leaves about what last night represented and what we should do about it and also about the shutdown and how that relates to last night. If you read the pollsters, the shutdown was a big factor, negative for Republicans."

Shit, I thought Archie Bunker solved this 50 years ago...
This idea that it is somehow perfectly normal to refuse to live next door to people you don’t have enough in common with is bizarre to me. If you want a relationship with your neighbors, GO BE NICE TO THEM. If you don’t, you are totally free to keep to yourself. This is adulthood.
Vance says it is "totally reasonable and acceptable" for people to not want to live next door to people who speak a different language than they do

Actually, I've figured it out. He's an attention whore, so stop giving him hours on each day's news.

Ah, but about that... Trump brings in the eyeballs. Love him or rightfully hate him, people watch news broadcasts for him.
