Pew has Trump's approval at 37%. And:

"Only about a quarter of Americans today (27%) say they support all or most of Trump’s policies and plans, down from 35% when he returned to office last year. That change has come entirely among Republicans."

It appears several clergy were just arrested as they staged an anti-ICE protest in the Russell Rotunda in the U.S. Senate office building.

A number of faith leaders, who were in town urging Senators to vote against additional ICE funding, were led away by police: www.facebook.com/FIAnational/...

One strategic reason to impeach Noem ASAP is that it increases the likelihood she'll turn on Miller, especially if she thinks the admin is hanging her out to dry.
Of course. And that’s why Dems need to lean in and work towards dismantling ICE.
First no funding.
Impeach Noem.
Demand hearings on ICE’s operation in MN.
Demand that Miller resign.

Don’t let up.
“An administration official gave away the game to Punchbowl News, admitting that these “de-escalatory measures” are about placating Senate Democrats so they don’t seize this moment to demand restrictions on ICE as part of any government funding package.”

One thing I found deeply moving about resistance in the Twin Cities was the universalism of loving your neighbor, the philosophy driving the opposition to the ICE/BP invasion. I couldn't help but notice the contrast with the blood and soil-ism of Miller and Vance. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Moms and church folks and queer young adult D and D players. That’s who is organizing this, and we know how to get supplies.
these right wing clowns continuing to express absolute shock over the organizing of the left also reflects a deeply sexist ignorance of the fact that EXPERIENCED, INCREDIBLY EFFICIENT AND HARDWORKING VOLUNTEERS, PRIMARILY WOMEN, RUN THE FUCKING SHOW WITH ALMOST EVERYTHING GOOD IN THIS COUNTRY
I mostly just stay off Twitter altogether but after double checking that the Walter Hudson post was still up I ran across this and just had to share so the Romancelandians who bought hand warmers could hear about the PROFESSIONAL GRADE LOGISTICS.

I was going to call and yell and plead and keep calling. Now I can say “good and hold the line.” Not a penny until they leave MN, restrict actions to judicial warrants, unmask, and bovino is fired. For starters. @durbin.senate.gov
Sen. Dick Durbin, another one of the 8 Democratic YES votes on Nov funding bill, is a NO on this DHS measure: “I will not vote to fund the illegal DHS and ICE operations that terrorize Chicago, Minneapolis, and many other communities.”

This bill doesn’t have the votes.

It was a striking show of solidarity with MN clergy resisting ICE, but heralded something else: the emergence of a vast, faith-based network trained to resist ICE. religionnews.com/2026/01/23/i...

Senate Democrats absolutely have to shut the govt down to stop this ICE insanity in the Twin Cities. This is not sustainable & cannot be normalized. Any Democratic vote to provide money to the thugs who are brutalizing this community is a grave betrayal to the people here. Accountability can't wait.

Every “democrat” who thinks this is performative or a distraction should resign their office in disgrace.

Not a fucking ounce of courage, not a single moral bone.
NEW: Kristi Noem is facing by far the most credible impeachment effort of Trump's 2nd term. Some House Dems are fuming.

Senate in play.
NC + ME + OH + AK.
Hold GA and MI.

Are OH and AK hard? Yes. But you couldn’t get better matchups and candidates than Brown and Peltola.
News: Peltola is IN for Alaska Senate race, running against Sen. Dan Sullivan. Tough race still but big recruit for Democrats

She’s proposing term limits, is campaigning on “fish, family and freedom,” and is name-dropping Don Young and Ted Stevens

Here’s some things that can be done by a party out of power

- file impeachment articles every day in the House

- withhold unanimous consent in the senate and filibuster every nominee

- be everywhere with comms saying this is lawless and impeachable
