I’m a data freelancer. As an ecological quant for hire I help with all things data:
- Analysis, stats, R programming
- Viz + cartography
- Data management + cleaning
- Automated reports
Let’s chat if you have a project you want help with!
I've been fortunate to have a network of data freelancers that have been a huge support in my own work.

I've started a list of some of these consultants (in academia, nonprofit, public sector, and industry). If you are looking for help, check out this list!

Come along to my slightly silly and hopefully informative talk on how data go from some scribbles on a paper questionnaire to a nice, clean dataset

Thanks to the ARDC for having me!

Like last year, here is a list of some lesser known, yet always fabulous, nudibranch species.

Participate as much or as little as you want in any art form you like.

Make sure to use #Nudivember and use alt text!

The Pacific spiny lumpsucker (Eumicrotremus orbis) answers the question: "What if tiny fish, but also suction cup?"

You can see that their little fins aren't really big enough for their tiny round bodies.

They've adapted to strong currents by turning pelvic fins into a biological suction cup.

You’re very welcome! Snapshot has prioritized data sharing and it warms the cockles of my heart to see all the neat research that uses our data.
Hey datatrophs: looking for a snack? Here’s a thread of long-term data sets. Add your fave if it’s missing.
#rstats & #dataviz people do you know any looooooong time series that you like? 👀

I‘m currently searching for datasets to submit to the #tidytuesday project.
Snapshot USA has been collecting annual wildlife camera data since 2019. Might be on the shorter side for timescale but the spatial coverage is excellent (all 50 states). The data are tidy, annotated, and ready to go.

My bad, I thought it was an actual pumpkin (like roasted and smooshed)
Comments that remind Future Me of things I tend to forget. Or better yet, a little file that documents my tripping blocks and how to untrip myself. (Inspired by an appendix in a @jennybryan.bsky.social book)

We’re not going to sci-comm our way out of federal attacks on science, but it’s also never been more important for the public to understand the value of our science and the threats that face it.

The media offers scientists a megaphone for doing this. Come learn how to use it effectively.👇🏼
✨ Join us for an upcoming webinar with @allisonagsten.bsky.social to learn how to effectively share your stories with the public as an engaged scientist!
