This year was the biggest one yet for me in poetry. I am endlessly grateful to anyone who cares about my words. More to come next year. 💖💖

I was asked to check this, the journal uses a Rail Fence Cipher, so you read each line up and down, left to right. The deciphered text in the article below is accurate, and names names. The file itself can be found here:

I'm not out here writing the shit I write because I think it has market appeal. It's all for one sicko (me)
"Why would I read something someone couldn't be bothered to write" is a great refrain but I would also add as a writer "I won't write something I couldn't be bothered to read" because that's what every one of my books are: something *I* want to read.

You may think you are apolitical but you will definitely be remembered for your politics.

Good morning with Jack Gilbert and #smallpoemsunday

I rush back, scared, gulping
down pain wherever I can get it

Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

The Epstein Files are one of the most solid forms of proof we have that the patriarchy is a disgusting corruption and not the natural order for a healthy society.

I didn't want to be happy. I wanted to write books.
What if we just refuse to die? Just say no thanks, I'm going to be a Literary Writer and live forever. I didn't want to be happy. I wanted to write books.

We keep publishing books the way some people keep a cursed object. Out of spite, habit, and curiosity about what happens next.

we cannot "good intentions" our way out of genocide, pedophilia, etc. 👏👏 people choose to stay ignorant because it benefits them. 👏👏 we must do better. 👏👏
The West loves its smol bean fascism where everyone was simply ignorant or didn’t know when they were voting fascism in three times and Fox News is to blame and it is always someone else’s fault but not white America.
I am once again stating the obvious by saying that the whole “low information voters” thing is a media tactic to normalise Trumpism because what do you mean these people have the capacity to find EVERY conspiracy theory about climate change and trans people, but none to believe Trump is evil.
