He/They
In fifty years time, absolutely nobody looking back on this time who was not alive to see it will believe that this is genuine. They will call you a liar, and then go back to watching the day's game of American Rugby.
5 minutes after FIFA gives him a fake medal Trump wants to rename American football.

Thanks so much to the running group who decided to do two fucking laps with a speaker the size of a backpack blaring out music I could hear 8 floors up.

Since it's Ashes time again, I'm settling in with a cup of tea and some cricket music. Guest vocalists include Matt Berry, Daniel Radcliffe and Henry Blofeld.

You can hear another commentary box during the TNT Sports commentary. I definitely heard someone saying "bowled him" just before Stokes knocked the stumps over earlier.

That Cameron Green wicket. Showing the bowler all three stumps like that. Crikey

I feel like my listening is a bit more diverse than this implies. For example, this month so far looks like this, which has a bit more range. I think the problem is I'll have a dozen or so songs that I might obsess over and then that skews the annual stats.

Not that any of it matters, of course.

This makes me sound like a stalker. I'm their second biggest fan? Okay.

Tidal doesn't have Spotify Wrapped, but it does have a recap. Apparently my 2025 was "a grand sonic opera".

Technically it was the ghost of Uday Hussein.
I did not have Uday Hussein giving me the finger on my bingo card for tonight. The magic of theatre.

I am cursed as far as the Young Vic goes. The last time I came an actor was so ill they stopped the play halfway through. Tonight I'm here and David Threlfall is sick, so Kathryn Hunter did a day of rehearsal yesterday and is sight reading off TV screens. I am either jinxed or I am the jinx.

In some ways, Farage being revealed as a racist bully actually shouldn't affect his popularity very much at all, because we all know he's a racist anyway.
I suspect the real reason Nigel Farage is getting so rattled by the racism allegations is that:

1) He knows he said all these things so can't properly deny them
2) He knows that he carried on saying them well into adulthood

Root and Archer outscored the rest of the England team put together (167 out of 325).
December 4, 2025 at 1:31 PM
I know he's been injured but it seems impossible that Jofra Archer is only playing his seventeenth Test. Such a loss to the game that he missed out on so much cricket.

Root hit a beautiful switch hit six. Highlight of the innings for me.

"We've seen it forty times before". No we fucking haven't. This is his fortieth. So we've seen it 39 times before.

As a Trek kid who grew up in the nineties, it was very much this guy.

I still think football chants at the cricket is weird. Noise does not equal atmosphere.

My review of the cricket so far (watching it on video, no spoilers): I miss Michael Atherton on commentary

Every time he says stuff like this, I always want to scream, "Neither do your children, Nigel, their first language is German, so shut the fuck up, you plantpot."
Feeling proud of the intelligent multi-lingual children in our city!

This tweet and the Farage video in it about "the cultural smashing of Glasgow" is getting rightly roasted by the good people of Glasgow on the other place...

How the fuck do you know? Imagine if the Health Secretary came out and said there was an overdiagnosis of hypertension or IBS. You'd laugh him out of the room. You should do the same here.

I have found my next D&D character.

Because the Ashes isn't enough, I'm watching West Indies v New Zealand until March of the Day comes on.

Feeling nostalgic for when I had ambition and drive and hope of a successful career, so am rewatching the first season of The Practice. And for the most part, it's aged pretty well.
