Give folks their flowers

No, I mean right now. Go tell someone you loved their work right now. They're on social media just say it, it has never been easier

"They know how much people love--" no they don't go say it right now to a composer or artist or game dev or writer or anyone AAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

It has rained so much for the last two weeks that when I got home last night there was a frog sitting by my front door. A FROG.
It was so comfortable in the rain, it was still sitting in the same spot when I looked out two hours later (still raining) :/

The very existence (let alone the wording) of this consultation is an outrage, but please fill it in anyway, it doesn't take long.
PS. Not too late to tell the government what you think about their proposed changes to Indefinite Leave to Remain - the public consultation is open until 12th Feb.

Reform politicians are happy to throw insults from a distance.

But when it comes to debating their ideas? No show.

Richard Tice pulled out.
Farage won’t face me.
Now their candidate in Gorton & Denton has ducked our candidate Hannah Spencer.

Vote Green.

The outfits for Olympics Speedskaters make them look like they are from the Legion of Superheroes - except for the Netherlands and their ‘rational’ type design choices. Sandra Velzeboer is apparently taking time off from delivering parcels for the NL Post Office

It’s weird how the White House can just blame a “staffer” for the racist post as if just any low level flunky can pretend to be the President of the United States at any random time.

If you are baffled by why the jury refused to convict the Palestine Action defendants, it's because – unlike them – you didn't hear the actual evidence. You heard what the media wanted you to know.

Here, I explain what the jury learnt from the trial: jonathancook.substack.com/p/barristers...
Barrister's powerful speech at Filton Trial reminds jury of its right to defy judge
Starmer and the media need convictions to justify Palestine Action's proscription as a terrorist group. Rajiv Menon KC spells out to the jury why it is a vital last defence against government tyranny

A hideous episode; Mandelson got trounced by poet Lemn Sissay in the vote to be Chancellor of the University of Manchester (vote by staff and students), so Mandelson went down the road to the neighbouring Manchester Metropolitan University and management rolled out the red carpet for him.
MMU deleted the page celebrating Mandelson’s appointment as Chancellor in 2016. 🤷‍♂️
Our neighbours at Manchester Met didn’t get to vote, and management appointed their preferred candidate.

again we do not really do a good job of explaining how wealthy people like Jeff Bezos are

his net worth is $253.2 billion.
so he could take one million dollars, and just light it on fire
and then do it again tomorrow
and again the day after that
and then do it every day for 693 years and 8 months

Correction re: that lightbox previously mentioned the other day - it isn’t A2. I mistyped it and didn’t notice (phone keyboard) but maybe you did. Anyway It’s twice the size. A1. It’s those dimensions that made me hang onto it all that time just in case.
