We got her on tape ranting and raving at us (we were young children, she was supposed to be watching us while my mother was at work). She didn’t babysit ever again after that day.

She was a full blown lunatic. She made us wear rubber rain boots in the house and sit under the dining room table during storms so we didn’t get electrocuted. My mother thought we were exaggerating how bananas she was until we hit the tape recorder in the back of my brother’s pants one day.

Grateful I haven’t had any issues. I pretty much only go to the local grocery every other week if I feel up to it and I’m with my (very protective adult) son so that may deter anyone from speaking up.

Mr Kat went to the appliance store in town, it’s where everyone gets their stuff. They put the last one in 30(??) years ago? We’ve been here 20 years and it was here way before us, my in-laws were too cheap to ever replace anything 😬
