VERY IMPORTANT IDEA: the next academic conference I attend should have a "tea exchange" where we all just bring a bunch of our favorite tea, try each others, and then everyone leaves with some new tea that they liked.

This is unironically a 10/10 networking idea and I'm not too humble to admit it.

❤️ Love this ❤️

@mathforge.org has done what I’ve never been organised enough to do myself, and catalogued every #geometrypuzzle I’ve ever posted on social media. It looks amazing!

Just because the calendar says that you’re supposed to spend like crazy doesn’t mean you have to!

(Black Friday, after-Christmas sales, random “deals” that aren’t really deals)

We need to save 💵 y’all!

* Yep, it adds to 180!
* Ok, but what if we cut it in half like THIS?

I think the term "college and career readiness" is an incredibly well-intentioned shift in education that has left many, many high school students disengaged + disconnected from their learning.

They deserve to learn things that have value + enrich their lives in the present—not just the future.

I love all the resources from @draustinmaths, they are always well thought out.

If you need more of these, you can create this type of activity with randomly generated questions on many topics on my site. Choose 'Codebreaker' as Activity Type.

This past week was really challenging at times in the classroom—but at the same time, I kept reminding myself to not give into that challenge with my own actions.

Something that helped? Having some "uplift moves" in the tool belt as a teacher.

A lot of people think that every international student admitted means one fewer spot for domestic students, when the opposite is more likely true - the tuition revenue international students bring allows public universities to provide substantial discounts to domestic students, improving access.
