Lots of good sentences in this essay... #alberta #yeg #yyc #abpoli
My first published story was in The Western Producer in 1985.

It took 40 years, but this is my best sentence:

The most tone deaf and hypocritical statement you wouldn’t believe until you actually saw it.

You cannot recognize a day of mourning when your government’s anti-trans discriminatory legislation is causing the incredible harm.

The duplicitous double speak is so Orwellian.

NO evidence will help system. On the contrary: > costs < equity > inefficiencies < quality

When you see this situation this winter, remember that 100% of people wlaking and biking are Edmonton residents. They pay for the snow removal. That's not true of many people who drive in Edmonton.

We subsidize people from other communities and get lower quality service than they do.
This looks like a photo I tool last winter, of 106 St in Old Strathcona. Except my photo included the plow moving car lane snow into the elevated bike lane....

Today Elections Alberta requested $13.5 million to be able to administer recalls and referendum.

The UCP committee in charge revised their request to just over $1 million.

And then voted it through.

The UCP just defunded recall/referendum.
