This is so repugnant. The ADL is wrong!
Add your name: American Jews reject the ADL’s racist “Mamdani Monitor”
If the ADL wants to keep Jews isolated from our allies and neighbors, their time as Jewish leaders is over.

Sean Charles Dunn’s moment of culinary resistance — he wouldn't be subservient, one could say — has become a symbol of D.C.’s refusal to accept the federal occupation quietly.
Earlier today, D.C.'s own "sandwich guy" was found not guilty of the charges against him.

How a thrown sandwich became a symbol of D.C.’s resistance
In an already surreal moment, Washingtonians have embraced bread puns, sandwich flags, and sub-themed street art as a form of protest.

The New York Times quickly sending out Douthat to argue that Mamdani’s victory doesn’t really matter is so predictable it borders on self-parody.
Remember, folks: Every time the Right wins an election, it’s an undeniable expression of the will of the people. If a lefty wins, it’s just a blip.

No it’s important to listen to this. Because then you understand that many of them will do ANYTHING to keep power. Remember Musk got involved in the 2024 election after saying to Tucker “if she wins” I am definitely going to prison.
So we need to move knowing that nothing is off the table for them.

Steve Bannon: If we lose the midterms and we lose 2028, some in this room are going to prison, myself included.

Zorhan is the antidote to Stephen Miller.
Now, the factionalization of dems becomes much more of a hurdle. If the party can’t create momentum through solidarity with working families, than competing factions and in-fighting will freeze recruitment and increase splintering.

Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

High hopes, too, that this puts an end to book bans in Virginia!
Among many other takeaways: Spanberger will now inherit the power to decide whether Virginians returning from prison should have their voting rights restored. Youngkin has bucked his predecessors by using this power to deny voting rights to many thousands of people.
RESULT: Abigail Spanberger has been elected governor of Virginia, the AP has just called.
Her win flips this office for Democrats.
Virginia’s other statewide elections, for lieutenant governor and attorney general, have not yet been called at this time.

It is worth saying that putting “Africana studies” in scare quotes as if it’s a ridiculous concept is not a political argument. It’s just racism. “Africa is not worthy of a major” is the implication. Yeah dude you’re just racist. (From Gerard Baker at the WSJ today)

We need regulations to insure a living wage!
Walmart, McDonalds and Amazon are the largest employers of people who require SNAP assistance.
The CEOs earned between 18-40 million last year, 1000x their median employee income.
They took billions in profits, while their workers relied on SNAP to survive.

thank you for all the support; the statement from our union is now live here with some more reporting.
now that this is public I can confirm that the majority of today’s layoffs were women of color. there are no longer any Black women working at Teen Vogue.
