Squall vs. Firion. Both characters try to play around their HP attacks and capitalize on good reads and mistakes.

What if you can just run around Straightarrow? That's when the neutral game really picks up. Check it out.

for what feels like the trillionth time: a skilled player could theoretically beat an arcade game on a single credit on their first attempt.
modern microtransaction-funded games are designed to keep the player hooked with deliberately impossible situations with victory just slightly out of reach

I don't really like the idea of comparing gacha mechanics to arcade machines.

like, I think its missing the point of what actually makes gacha bad, which is that you pay money to effectively gamble, you don't know what you're gonna get

with an arcade machine, what you're buying isn't an unknown

I thought about this for a moment, and I was reminded of the Dissidia NT "accolades" trailer that embraced its mixed feedback and had shots like this all over.

Started playing es em tea nokturne, and I think the best way I can describe the excitement & challenge in the game right now is that "sometimes the game can simply say no".

I read this retrospective about Dirt Rally 1. It's rough that a dev studio could barely afford to release a game in early access, have it save the company, only for it to get delisted in the end. 🫠

Feel free to widely share this curated easy to understand #Satellaview knowledge that I just posted on my blog.

I didn't want to overscope it but I spent a lot of time explaining a curated list of games for those who have no idea what the Satellaview is.
