Every trip out of the save room in REmake is a game in itself. This is where you "hatch the plan": managing memory, probability, and hubris. Can I carry X and still collect Y in a single lap? The game toys with this further, when a critical shortcut has a limited number of uses before locking up.

Baiting a zombie grab is *just* reliable enough where you think it's the dominant strat, but ofc fixed windows, tight corners and tank controls push back. Is this how you wanna risk crossing this hallway the next 6 times? Even more dangerous when Jill has less health and is slower than Chris.

Playing Link's Awakening DX again and heavily feeling this old post of mine

The entrance to Key cavern in Link's Awakening X consisting of statues along the bottom with a keyhole you need to use to open the dungeon, but also blocking off the dungeon entrance forcing you to go all the way around after using the key

Twitter post saying "Florida is literally hell" showing that it takes a full hour to wind around complicated bridges to cross a river to a location that's very close to where you start. The smart and handsome Khayyaam makes an apt comparison by saying "Florida got that gameboy Legend of Zelda overworld design"

- Fixed bug that would cause sidequest flags to become unset.
- Fixed bug where subtitles in the "Speech" FMV would cause a game crash on hardware.
- Fixed first memory card message appearing as black screen.
- Fixed font palette issues.
- In-battle subs code has been rewritten to display code in chat log style; no more disappearing subtitles.
- Geyorkias's subtitles now correctly map to the correct voice lines.
- Various typo and consistency fixes.
- Anikamal save bug (present in the original game) has been fixed.
- Menu background during pause display bug (present in the original game) has been fixed.

If english audio timing seems a little off, that's because it is! They're not always synced to match the JP original. So I actually edited both based on the slower version.

Here's a clip from english ver. Notice the shorter pause after Estelle says "I guess we've been spending a little too much..."

It looks like YT has finally rolled out manual multi-language audio tracks for a mortal like me. Viewers only need to click the video's settings to find the audio track option. Editors, go to YouTube Studio > Languages tab on left.

Well, I think the next Dissidia game should be a beat'em up set in a train with Golbez as one of the main characters. It sounds very funny. It could have the bravery system, ceiling wall rushes and the hilarious space control Nightglow brings.
