My whole life, advocating war has been fed to me as “the adult position,” akin to drinking your coffee black or reading the business section of the newspaper. Let’s be very clear — war is the childish nonsense of impulsive destructive idiots playing baby-brained video games with real human lives.

Holding stories like this is a longstanding practice and also completely antithetical to the entire purpose of journalism. RIP Gawker.
🟡 NEW: The New York Times and Washington Post learned of a secret US raid on Venezuela soon before it was scheduled to begin Friday night — but held off publishing what they knew to avoid endangering US troops.

I think I’m going with the @nytimes.com on this one, thanks.

“In conclusion, CBS is a land of contrasts.”

This whole thing reads like a half-assed class project some fifth graders rushed through before Christmas break.

Mamdani‘s been mayor for a day. Already I have a terrible headache, my apartment is a mess, my kids are estranged from me, and I feel increasingly alienated from a cold and unfeeling society that doesn’t recognize how right I am about everything. I told you so.

this is hakeem. hakeem is offering up a pre-written post disconnected from what is currently in the news. it has no resonance and seems robotic.

this is ted. ted is referencing an event happening right now and of relevance to millions.

be like ted. not like hakeem.
