How about we worry less, as a society, about whether individuals might be cheating to get a disability accommodation or some help buying food, and more about whether extremely wealthy people and corporations are paying their fair share of taxes?

I think a lot of people don't realize how difficult it is to get accommodations for disability. in school, at work. there are invariably tons of hoops; it's slow. often it's humiliating.

I think we're in a firework control zone, but in spite of that the random explosions are extremely close by. Fortunately (?) the cats seem less bothered by this than I am.

We keep seeing startups who want to replace something valuable (therapy, counseling, tutoring, artistic expression) with some tech bullshit under the banner of democratization. But why do we need to invest so much in bad tech that doesn't work instead of just giving people access to what they need?

Disabled people aren’t ignorant. We knew that the labour government could not suddenly make things better overnight after 14 years of shit.
But to attack the most vulnerable, when there are so many other more pressing priorities, is simple cruelty and should never be accepted.
