Yesterday's attempt by Farage to take the UK out of the ECHR represents a story we're all too familiar with; selling a movement as a lie. Remaining in the ECHR ensures human rights, equality, and a mutual respect across communities, and it's essential that we continue to challenge these lies.

Democracy is under challenge in the west, a former president of the UK Supreme Court told me this week. Lord Neuberger of Abbotsbury said people were turning to populist alternatives and, he added, populism tends not to respect the rule of law.

Only 29 asylum appeals have been made to the ECHR in the last 45 years you dimwit. For that non-existent benefit you would sacrifice the right to life, liberty, fair trial, freedom of expression, thought, religion, protection from torture, slavery, etc.
Fucking idiot.

Elon Musk is once again inciting violence on British streets because the government has taught him there are literally no consequences for doing so.

They even carry on using his far-right social network to promote government policy as he does it. The absence of backbone is *astounding*.

Also, Sting was Amazing and it was an incredible gig, but Chris Maas - man oh man, that was nothing short of fantastic. What a percussionist. Gig of the year.
At @eventimuk.bsky.social Apollo for Sting tonight. Seen a famous person! Yay. I am trendy (40 years too late).

I am so tired of 24 hour news about small boats. I simply don’t care how many migrants arrive in the UK any more. No matter how many, they’ll never be as big a threat to British values, our way of life, or indeed women‘s safety, as the bigots who make yelling about migrants their entire personality.

Watched Rooftop Man. Great film and highly recommended: Channing Tatum and Kirsten Dunst were absolutely first class, but why, oh why, do Vue Cinemas have to be so cold??! It was warmer when we got outside and the sun had set about 2 hours earlier!

Ever since I finished Question Time, Reform have massively been on the attack.

Including a rant from Richard Tice entirely designed to distract from Reform and Russia.

Everyone should know about Nathan Gill, the bribes from Russia and the link to Reform.

What I don’t understand is why the British press don’t hang Brexit around Nigel Farage’s neck like a stockade.

It was the single worst act of economic self harm in modern British history.

Why doesn’t the British media force him to own that?
