So in their interpretation it is both a NIAC with narco-criminals and a conflict with the Venezuelan government who is directly in league with the narco-criminals but not an IAC where the full GC applies.
If we are at “war” then an obligation to rescue the shipwrecked under the GC, right?
I could not be more disappointed in Toledo football. A team that returned nearly everyone and added key pieces in the portal, they were rightly projected to win the MAC. In all three losses this year which they had real chances to win, they’ve looked disjointed, sloppy, and undisciplined.

The very first statute authorizing domestic use of the military during domestic emergencies, enacted in 1792 by a Congress full of the same folks who wrote and ratified the Constitution, expressly provided for judicial review in certain circumstances *before* the President could even send troops.
The last one is kind of a joke.
Internal dialogue says the issue is either DMPM or OSD. Or they are checking everyone’s social media pages
Books are a physical reminder of memories or people or who I used to be. Every reduction in literal weight has a mental weight to process. X/
To re-read this book. I have never read this book. My desire to read a classic piece of literature or expand my knowledge about a cultural issue which has lost in the sphere of public opinion has lessened. Books that I have carried because they are gifts from a friend, an ex, or a family member. 2/
Whenever I move, I attempt to reduce my metaphorical and literal weight through sorting through my stuff. I’m taking a more serious look at my books this time. While I love my books, I have been carrying many around for years. I am no longer the person I was when I bought them. I don’t plan 1/
It was with OSD two weeks ago so hopefully any time now. Apparently real serious delays from DMPM on CPT Certs and promotions.

I’ve been thinking about a prestige series for HBO or Apple (better suited for them than Netflix or Prime I think) about the buildup to WWI. It’s such a great story on so many levels, and the modern series technique of flashbacks as backstory would work so well for it.

I’ve never seen you say a dumber thing. It is the best ginger ale. Flavorful, sharp, and perfectly carbonated.
It is the 1 year anniversary of the publication of my article arguing for an authorized use cannabis policy for the U.S. Army. My proposed policy based upon the Canadian Armed Forces policy feels a million times less likely than it did a year ago.

What a disappointment.
charlottesville spent most of a decade revising its zoning code. it held endless community meetings and gave opponents ample opportunity to make their case. they lost. but a handful of rich homeowners sued and have gotten the new code overturned on a technicality.

The city is evaluating next steps but can no longer use the new rules

after reading Erik Larson's book, "Dead Wake," I would rather climb Everest than get into a submarine pre-1980.
I saw a photo of WWII sailors smoking in a submarine. I cannot imagine what the air was like.
Just been re-enacting my 20s at the Warped Tour in DC!

Every lawyer, sooner or later, has the experience of pretending that they knew about the Court of International Trade before right that second.
My insight about the Court of International Trade is that I was assigned a matter involving that court as a first-year associate and then tried very hard to pretend to my new colleagues that the court's existence was not news to me.
