My late wife was a social worker and a grief counselor, and I don't need some weird "AI" version of her in my pocket to know what she would think of all of this. Honestly, this kind of bullshit will cause more damage than any brief "comfort" in might provide to someone. Such a stupid stupid idea.

What makes this all the more gross to me is that it was, yet again, predicted as a scam by capitalist greed pigs in sci-fi: a Max Headroom episode, in fact.
This was LITERALLY presented as an exploitative scam in a Max Headroom episode. Right down to the simulation saying “That’s wonderful!” in response to a grieving widow/scam victim.

This weekend marks the fourth anniversary of my father's death. He was a complicated guy, especially so during the last few years of his life. This is real. Our govt is Tweeting like a 14 year old and calling Americans imbecilic morons. We worry about children being bullied but this is the example set by the U.S. GOVERNMENT. This is so shameful. I’m embarrassed for any of you that think this is okay or make excuses for it.
