Deadlock in Abu Dhabi. You don’t need to be a clairvoyant or fortune teller to predict this either.

❗️Negotiations in Abu Dhabi have reached a deadlock. The Kremlin hasn't budged and continues to demand Ukrainian territory, - The Atlantic

There's a lot of concern of Europeans being dependent on US payment firms, notably Visa/Mastercard.

We forget that until 2016 Europe DID have its own payments champion. Visa Europe was owned by European banks (it merely licensed the Visa name)

Sold for ~$20bn. Basically zero regulatory scrutiny.

The most important point is that we need neither the same doctrine nor capabilities that the US has - irrespective of its allies - for global power projection purposes.

Trying to replace those would be a fool’s errand. We need to do what Europe needs to do, not become a second US.

Today, #Japan is opening visa centers in #Moscow and St. Petersburg. Now, you can get a visa for free and in just 4 days.

A vacation in the Land of the Rising Sun, including tickets, will cost just 100 thousand rubles. This is twice cheaper than in Sochi.

I think you know the answer. The “negotiations” have been an excuse to hold back necessary equipment and aid.
I am a Ukrainian Nobel Peace Prize Laureate. I have a question.

Why has Trump's year of negotiations been the deadliest for civilians in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion? The number of deaths and injuries has increased by 31 percent compared to the previous year.

I no longer support using a guillotine against the ultra-rich. Especially not when trebuchets exist.
