I think one of the least talked about factors re: abortion debate is how completely unfit teens are to be parents. This dipshit is 20, heavily dependent on mommy for everything, and he’s already let his 2 year old wander off twice. Allowing teenagers to raise and nurture babies puts babies at risk
NEW: GOP Rep Lauren Boebert's adult son has again been cited for child abuse without injury after Boebert's grandson wandered away from her home for a second time. Last year, Boebert said it was a "one-time incident that we have addressed as a family." www.9news.com/article/news...

if you sincerely want fascism defeated, you’re going to have to first realize that “Just Vote Any Dem” is a bad strategy and that it’s actually necessary to criticize the democrats in office.

absolutely insane — this journalist ended up dealing with AI-encouraged stalking herself WHILE reporting on the subject. and when reached out for comment about the stalking Copilot was assisting with, Microsoft gave a milquetoast statement about how they're "committed to building AI responsibly"

The electorate is getting increasingly polarized in 2026. You can't win elections anymore by pandering to a middle that doesn't exist, but rather by spiking turnout within the base as high as it can go. Harris arguably lost because the base was pissed about Gaza and sat out

AI filmmaking is completely unserious.

You've got people with $30k begging the internet for ideas by next week because they have nothing of their own to say, it's just slop for the sake of slop. Embarrassing state of affairs.

There is no drawdown. There is no retreat. ICE is just redistributing their assets to better avoid accountability.
The same day DHS announced the surge would end in Minnesota, ICE activity increased in small towns
The less densely populated areas outside the Twin Cities make it harder for protesters and observers to organize.

ICE has been targeting Indigenous business, resource centers, community hubs, etc in Minneapolis. They even targeted Little Earth of United Tribes, a residential housing community that has at least 98% Indigenous residents. It is where the four Oglala Lakota men they took were living.
Why the fuck was ICE spotted near Haskell Indian Nations University in Lawrence, Kansas? Rhetorical. It's easy to go after Indigenous people who have historically been harassed, terrorized & executed. ICE is populated with sick fucks.

ICE agents are still out there this morning, photographing schools from unmarked vehicles and then quickly leaving after being confronted. Keep your heads up.

Btw what is with parents letting their kids at zoos throwing ice at animals? None of them hit but usually the animals were just resting.

Lists or blocks in general should have a lifespan. Maybe two to three years. It doesn't make sense to eternally block someone and if they're still being a PITA then you'll see people remark about it anyway and reblock them.

Only emphasizing here because the nuclear block makes no sense otherwise.

The older I get, the more sympathy I have for people who got hated for making weird but ultimately harmless art or acted cringe when put under pressure...

... and less sympathetic to people who were predatory or manipulative online.

The only silver lining I see to this is how many are emphasizing how ineffective/harmful their tactics are and if so many of them weren't part of a political engine that loved sitting on their hands, I'd say it was a teaching moment for the party in general.
it's one thing to say with regards to a general election "vote blue no matter who"

but it's a completely different thing to insist (as *lots* of Dem accounts I've personally seen are saying) that trans ppl *must* vote for Newsom when we're still several years away from presidential primaries!

🧵 like many slogans, "vote blue no matter who" can mean different things in different contexts. sometimes it's used to encourage a broad Democratic coalition. but many Newsom stans are using it as a cudgel to disenfranchise trans ppl from that potential Dem coalition

We don't need a disquisition about right-wing populism or theories of market dynamics to understand that lobbyists bought the Justice Department. From me, from yesterday (I was off sorry):

When you’ve totally been paying attention to what the US has been doing to Cuba and Venezuela for the past 80 years.
Every leftist concerned with Cuba right now really ought to keep in mind Kamala Harris would neither have kidnapped Maduro nor be throttling Cuba to death right now, were she President.

If you abstained because she "wasn't perfect", congratulations. You should've thought of this before not voting.
