Just heard the sad news that Colette Nickelsen passed. Really glad I got the chance to catch up with her at the most recent Wellyfest.
Her recent album "The Backyard Wonder" was in some ways a meditation on her cancer, I felt like this song was some of her best philosophy on where it was all going.

I bombed out of university studying Classics (!) partially due (I suspect) to some kind of undiagnosed neurodiversity, and the polytech in Invercargill was doing free fees, so I could study being an audio engineer for $300 NZ in course costs.
