@schumer.senate.gov you’re gonna lose the midterms. People are begging for ICE to be abolished and y’all’re making back door deals to “reform” an agency that has literally kidnapped and executed citizens in the streets.

Even with all this momentum and Trump on the defensive, you still caved
Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said the party agreed on three main goals:

° Require warrants in some cases and ICE coordination with state and local law enforcement

° Create a code of conduct and enforce it

° Require agents to wear body cams and not masks
Democrats demand new ICE restrictions as government shutdown looms
After federal agents shot and killed Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, Senate Democrats say they’ll block a massive government funding package without policy changes.

Exactly right.

Bovino's leaving? Great, get Noem to resign.

Noem resigns? Great, defund and dismantle ICE.

Go after Stephen Miller too. Bring charges against ICE thugs at the state and local level. Lawsuits. New state laws restricting them.

Every possible angle.
They are wounded and flailing. Press the advantage.

It is honestly impossible for me to believe that they had the exact number of votes needed and Jeffries and Dem leadership didn’t coordinate it in full. This isn’t just a failure of the 7 voters, this is a failure of the whole party
If @hakeem-jeffries.bsky.social wasn’t a feckless coward, he would have whipped these votes, and the DHS bill would have failed, 213-214.

These 7 Dems are traitors who support ICE terrorism, & House Dem leadership has made themselves complicit by refusing to even ATTEMPT to talk them into voting no
NEW: DHS appropriations bill funding ICE passes 220-207

7 Democrats voted YES on the bill:
- Jared Golden
- Marie Gluesenkamp Perez
- Henry Cuellar
- Tom Suozzi
- Laura Gillen
- Don Davis
- Vicente Gonzalez

One Republican voted NO: Thomas Massie

Bipartisan negotiators released a DHS funding bill that does not significantly reduce ICE and CBP’s funding nor rein in the agencies’ abuses of power.

Make no mistake: Any Democrat who votes for this bill is complicit in Trump’s campaign of terror.

Grow a spine and vote no.

This is how i expect every politician, regardless of party, to respond when masked federal agents are going door to door and kidnapping people
ICE must be abolished. It has become a lawless, rogue agency. Federal law enforcement agencies must follow the law, if they're going to have any credibility enforcing it.

We are demanding justice for Renee Good and the prosecution of ICE agent Jonathan Ross for her murder.

As dems push midterm talk of taking things back and fighting Trump, look at how many dems are still confirming Trump’s judicial nominees. 7 dems yay to balance 7 gop not-votings. And you want to be governor @amyklobuchar.com ?

This should be the major takeaway, but dems will make any excuse to go further mild and centrist
If I can be serious here for a moment, the fact that so many establishment Dems backed him in the first place is really damning. They have to do better.

If ICE will do this to a congressional candidate with a big platform, just imagine what they’re doing to the people they’re kidnapping.
