S.F. has zero electric-wheelchair charging stations. Users are frustrated.
Electric wheelchair users are used to keeping a mental map of where to charge their chairs. The city hasn't done enough to help, they say.

Solidarity means looking for those faculty with resources to be actively helping out our colleagues who have fewer resources, or are just trying to start their careers out.

So many careers will not survive this. We owe it to our communities to do what we can to support as many people as we can.
We are also seeing how people respond to the world burning down: looking out for themselves or finding solidarity to maintain something that can work for a broader array of people. How science and scientists respond to disruption has always been a microcosm of our larger society’s response

You inspired me! I bought a laptop for a 20 yo looking to finish their GED. What a wonderful idea.
I have been looking at Black Friday sales for a week but I do not actually need anything so instead I closed all those tabs and bought a Polaroid for a foster kid in Florida who uses photography to deal with big feelings. Perhaps you would like to do the same for one of the kids at the link below?
