Yeah EVs tend to have an "OMG I can go here cheap and fun" effect to them, suspect that happens with PHEVs and thus more longer trips are done. Burning more dino juice.

Had a only legs left resistor rage quit recently. It was so violent that both the breaker in the sub board and the breaker upstream went. Resistor body turned into fine sand consistency.
One can hope that the level of his ass handed to him on a mirror embarassment causes a resignation

I managed to get a car park by the Ruth Gottlieb Library in Kilbirnie - there’s about 200 people lined up to cast Special Votes. I also dropped some votes off for people circling in their cars desperately wanting to park and vote. One lady said “Gotta keep the fascists out!”. Bloody oath.
