I guess the NDP gave the leadership candidates their list of former/lapsed members so now I get a constant barrage of emails and texts from each campaign trying to get me to sign back up so I can vote for a leader and it is really having the opposite effect, let me tell you 🫠

Yes. All the empirics on misinformation indicate that the way to defeat bad ideas is to mock and marginalize them. Constantly declaring "hey the far right isn't so bad" is a terrible strategy both morally and electorally.
