Massive craving for a Monte Cristo sammitch right now. Hmm. Maybe I can make one out of chaffles, with the smallest amount of raspberry jam. *is thoughtful*

Have discovered that Fairlife Core Power protein shakes are the most palatable of all the ones I’ve tried. Thank goodness this liquid diet adventure will end on a higher note.

I did, however, wait to long to have it today. Feeling pretty queasy, but sipping slowly, hoping my stomach will settle.

Summon forth our spirit of renewal
With the turning of the wheel
As we determine that which must be put to rest
And envision all which is ready to be awakened.

I need to buy a knife set? Or maybe just a couple. I have an absolutely cheap ass set from House of Bezos that I think are actually dangerous to use, they’re so flimsy. The only one I use is the bread knife for cutting, well, basically anything because it’s the only one strong enough.

Or, if you would much rather gift yourself or the one you love a rather funny comic fantasy whodunnit set in an alternate London where Anne Boleyn has lopped off Henry VIII's head (Ah sweet love.) why not try OverLondon! It has pirates. It has exploding priests!

A bystander took a heart-wrenching picture of Liam Ramos in his hat and Spiderman backpack, and there was pressure, and he and his father are free. We must not forget all the prisoners still in the camps whose names and faces are known only to their loved ones. We must make miracles for them, too.

I just got tear gassed along with thousands of union members, many of whom had their families with them. Federal agents at the ICE facility tear gassed children. We must abolish ICE, DHS, and we must have prosecutions. I expect to see enforcement of our city code prohibiting the use of tear gas.

similar heads-up for Canadians: now is a good time to start checking websites, because February-ish is usually when retailers start to draw down their stock of winter gear

in addition to MEC and the usual suspects, I've had good luck in the past with La Cordée, Echo Sports, and Altitude Sports
btw, if you're looking for deals on base layers for next winter, set a reminder now to check the REI outlet in the spring

and if you're near an actual REI store, check the Re/Supply section in the back. they buy back their own gear and resell what's gently used
This recent cold snap has made us all long underwear experts. I literally spent 25 minutes last night, talking to someone about the different kinds of long underwear and their different strengths.

I’ve missed so much over the past three weeks, between surgery, recovery with my fam, and now because I’m asleep like 19 hours a day.

What’s up with you all? Drop a reply and let me know how you’re doing.
