When my kid became a teenager I gave them a copy of “Chocolate to Morphine” exactly because I wanted them to be able to make those risk-benefit calculations based on accurate info, not the scare propaganda the schools supplied.

oddly, T3s and Vicodin make me barf. the amount of codeine in cough syrup doesn’t, other opioids don’t have this problem for me, but my reaction to T3s was part of why I had so much trouble getting effective menstrual pain relief. Especially after they killed Darvon.

I mean the whole POINT was

you could pulse a box in the cuisinart for a few SECONDS and make a crust

make a nice chocolate custard which is another thing I can do sleepless and hungover

custard into crust, some whipped cream around the edges, everyone loves French silk pie and it’s so EASY

the ice cream inside makes it a profiterole!

The swans are easy. You pipe a big puff, then slice it in half horizontally, then the top part in half vertically. Put your cream or ice cream on the bottom part, stick the top halves on as wings. The head and neck? Just an elongated S-shape of puff.
