I think writers should take like 5 years per book--it needs to marinate.
“I can generate a book in a day and it takes you six months to write one, so I win the race” is one the most pathetic takes I’ve seen today.
If you “generated” a book, you’re not competing in the same race, league, or sport as writers. Playing with Legos doesn’t make you better than an architect.

The point of the AI project is to provoke despair in creative people. They haven’t produced profits or anything anyone wants, just a steady stream of articles about how us artistic types can’t do the thing we’re already doing, making art. Jokes on them, we’re even better at despair than they are.

She makes money by *convincing people* she makes money that way and getting them to pay her to teach them how to do it.
