Inclusionary zoning* is a tax on new housing that worsens the housing shortage and drives up housing prices. It’s bad policy and we should stop doing it.
The city of Los Altos charges an inclusionary fee $255,000 per unit for 1500 sq ft townhouses.

SEPTA's 260 transit cops catch a total of ~24 fare evaders and ~6.5 smokers a day. They call this "enforcement" 🙃

If SEPTA riders want to fight antisocial behavior, the first step is demanding transparency on what the hell SEPTA's 260 police actually *do* all day.

So just to be clear: The US is propping up Argentina’s economy, and now Argentina can eliminate its export taxes, so it can sell tons of soybeans to China, so China isn’t forced to buy soybeans from the US, so the US can pay subsidies to keep our farmers solvent.

China expands Argentina soybean buying to 20 cargoes, traders say
Chinese importers kept up a hectic pace of Argentine soybean purchases after the South American supplier's move to abolish export taxes temporarily made its prices competitive, traders said on Wednesday.

Never forget, a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

Just want to note that opposing Safe Injection sites in Kensington is bad policy because Kensington Avenue is essentially an unsafe injection site… and it’s open to the public and disgusting. Bathrooms, medical staff and support staff out of the public view would be a massive improvement.
