Thursday - we talked about those moments when someone encouraged you to get on a better path.
Friday - Chicago Parks Supt Ramirez-Rosa took your suggestions for improving neighborhood parks.
It was a good week on Say More w/me & @pksmid.bsky.social @wbez.org
Listen: If you love your neighborhood park and have ideas for what can be improved, the Chicago Park District wants to hear from you. Say More checks in with the head of the parks and takes listener calls.
How do you want to see $500,000 used to improve Chicago’s parks?

This movie is a masterpiece
I don't know who needs to hear this, but Abel Ferrara's cyberpunk thriller NEW ROSE HOTEL is free on Prime right now (starring Christopher Walken, Willem Dafoe, and Asia Argento; based on a William Gibson short story)

Fantastic choice!
Media news: The @chicagotribune.com next managing editor will be Stacy St. Clair, a widely respected journalist and hands-on leader who listens and pushes and nurtures. I love ragging on editors but we have a great team of leaders here and I am excited to see what the future holds.

BREAKING: The Trump administration repeatedly said the aggressive apartment raid in Chicago last fall was prompted by intel on a gang takeover.

New docs show the real motivation was to get alleged squatters. And the landlord and manager helped them.

The last Sundance in Park City (and the first since the death of Robert Redford) was bittersweet. But the storied film festival still offered plenty to discuss and anticipate.

High-quality applicants are crucial; this position will supervise juvenile probation and detention.

I don't see a closing date but hiring timeline is compressed.

I just visited Liam and his father. I also met with countless more children and families who have done nothing wrong and should not be detained.
