Watching the 1930 film The Divorcee (based off of Ursula Parrott's 1929 novel, Ex-wife). While the term "gaslighting" was coined in 1944, I'm watching Ted gaslight his wife Jerry over her discovery of his affair. Ted literally said, "It didn't mean anything." Not much has changed in 96 years!

This is the first weekend in months I didn't need to set an alarm, have an appointment, or be somewhere. Thursday & I lazed abt until 8:30, she did her thing, and now I'm drinking coffee and eating Pop Tarts while I work on some pleasure projects. (Unfortunately, Mr. Lisa is on call this weekend. 😔)

Mr. Lisa & I are chill about February 14. No flowers, no cards, no presents (typically). We usually go out to a nice dinner (not on the day itself because we are not crazy). I decided this year we're doing cold plunge with sauna and then on to fancy steak dinner. I am much excited by this prospect.

"People are assholes" news: a well known writer summit accepted my pitch. I was asked to read/sign a contract. Many paragraphs on the owner of the summit would financially benefit; nothing about paying presenters. I asked and said if it is "for exposure," I'm out. Haven't heard back.

People can dunk on the idea of 15 Minute Cities all they want, but today I needed a power tool that was $200 online and said to myself "F that, I bet the Capitol Hill Tool Library has one" and sure enough it did and I can mosey on over there and borrow it for $5 😂 I'm not giving that up
