I honestly feel
Bad for people
That don’t read romance. They have no idea that they could feel this way ALL THE TIME.

A very dear friend unexpectedly died this week. He was 46. Between Brendan, this, Trump, Mr Lisa getting laid off, and god know’s what else, 2025 can go fuck itself. Burn it all down.

Well, I've spent my self-allocated time on Bluesky for this morning. I've dipped some thoughts and said the word fuck a lot. My work is done.

I watched this in a high school English class. The teacher, who was Black, looked at his students, majority white, and said, "If you're not racist now, you will be." And that has stayed with me for over 30 years. (And, watching GenX grow, he was not wrong.)
I watched it in grad school and was SHOOK. If you haven’t watched it, I’m not sure you can appreciate the significance of President Woodrow Wilson loving it so much that he screened it in the White House. The first film to be screened there, of course. It is incandescently racist.
one thing that is important to know is that BIRTH OF A NATION is so racist that people at the *time*, in 1915, were like, “holy shit this is racist”

Recently, a post went around social media where a GoodReads user posted that "On Tyranny" by Timothy Synder was popular with the romance reading crowd. I was intrigued so I checked out the book. I was so inspired I bought a copy to keep. Snyder's summary of 20th C is chilling and a must read.

I do not have a problem paying for services. If Bluesky had a subscription service, I'd probably pony up the cold hard cash.

But the REASONING behind why Meta is doing this is absurd and they can go fuck themselves.

(Thankfully, I'm rarely on FB these days.)

News that eating high fat cheese lowers the risk of dementia is making the rounds. As a librarian, it is my duty to provide a link to the actual study rather than to the articles because I do not trust their lack of sources 👉 pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/41406402/
High- and Low-Fat Dairy Consumption and Long-Term Risk of Dementia: Evidence From a 25-Year Prospective Cohort Study - PubMed
Higher intake of high-fat cheese and high-fat cream was associated with a lower risk of all-cause dementia, whereas low-fat cheese, low-fat cream, and other dairy products showed no significant association. APOE ε4 status modified the association between high-fat cheese and AD. With Trump cronies having 80.1% share of TT, the article is not wrong that it will become a haven of right-wing maniacs who will shape and control the content. Creators may be flocking back to IG or hell even, YT which is, in a way, no better with who Meta and Google ownership. We're fucked.

Someone explain this to me like I'm 5:

If a company has their own AI trained on their data only, if I use that GenAI, does all the terrible things that ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini and others do with privacy, environmental, and other terrible things also exist? If someone wants an example, let me know!

Public Domain Day 2026 is almost here. On January 1, works from 1930—including Miss Marple, Animal Crackers, and The Little Engine That Could—enter the U.S. public domain. Expect celebration, confusion, and at least one Betty Boop slasher film. Sorry in advance.

Even $1 would go far in the experiment!
I’m conducting an experiment: who would be willing to give me $5 or $10. The caveat is I’m not going to tell you what I’m doing with it. If you’re game, my Venmo is Erika-Earp and the confirmation number is 5880.

Brain…not in a good spot for the last 36 hours. No fucking idea what is happening. This is not grief; this is something else. I have been taking my meds. I was able to shower but I am useless. Am sitting on the couch reading all day with the pug snoozing next to me. This…suuuuucccckkkksss.

Ethan Hawke is a dude 👌🏻

Mr. Lisa learned from Dave Chang to take StoveTop and use the seasoning for our cornbread sausage stuffing since you lot keep buying up all the rosemary, thyme, and sage during the holidays! Anyways, StoveTop works great. Mr. Lisa is going to level up for Xmas dinner and get Pepperidge Farm.
I unironically love it. Take a lot of crap for that. I make a little pot of it for myself the day after Thanksgiving or I just don’t feel right lol
This is a Stove Top stuffing appreciation account now.

I never used to eat it, but now it's weirdly comfort food to me.

Fuck a noodle cup, I want an instant Stove Top cup.

I like to organize things. My clothes, books, files. Everything. When I need to self-soothe, I organize something. Recently it's been cleaning up the tagging on my GoodReads account. I have 2200 books on that list. Perfect because there is no end in sight.
