Exactly this 👇
Look, this French publication correctly labels Farage as the leader of a far right party (even if it’s technically a limited company).

Why does the British mainstream media seem to have a different definition?
He is simply called ‘the leader of Reform UK’, which makes him sound innocuous.
British far right leader Nigel Farage urged to clarify party's ties with Russia
The head of the Reform UK party faces mounting pressure after a colleague was sentenced to prison for accepting money from Ukrainian politicians acting on behalf of Moscow.

Dear media, don’t interview billionaires about how they should be taxed. That’s like criminals attempting to set their own prison sentences, ignorant nut jobs giving vaccine advice, and politicians telling the poor how to survive on baked beans. They should all be invited to go and fuck themselves.

So let's do absolutely nothing
NO ONE FORMS POLITICAL IDEAS FROM WHAT THEY SEE IN THE WORLD.

THEY FORM POLITICAL IDEAS FROM WHAT THEY HEAR FROM OTHER PEOPLE.

There are many, many, many important implications of this!!

I wish I didn’t have to share this. But the BBC has decided to censor my first Reith Lecture.

They deleted the line in which I describe Donald Trump as “the most openly corrupt president in American history.” /1

Ha ha ha what
This has been a Labour policy since the Tories introduced it, so don’t go rushing to claim credit for it because the majority of the Labour backbenchers have been pushing this for a long time. Now they’re in government and in a position to remove it and they have done so.

Anja Popp on @channel4news.bsky.social asks Nigel Farage about racism and antisemitism allegations at the post-Budget2025 presser.

Visibly troubled, defensive and deflective, Farage tries to doodle away his anxiety.

Or you can quote a mutual that you like but who scares you a bit
Yup. Or sometimes quote to pass on information/or to expand on that information. eg if I liked your podcast or blog I'll quote it* with a comment. If you said a thing I agree with and I've got something to add, I'll quote.

*probably «as well» as doing a straight retweet for your numberrrrrs
There are sort of unspoken rules of social media that I think map pretty well onto the coffee shop analogy. I don't remember consciously deciding this, but it *feels* right to me: reply directly to mutuals (and explicit questions you can usefully answer), quote to give your own take.
