It hasn't fully sunk in yet, but we did just get some truly joyful news.

We fuckin' won, y'all

The Satanic Temple lost AGAIN, and ours is a full victory here.

I think people aren't really designed to accept how bad it is right now. You want a glimpse?

They just let COVID kill you to thin the numbers.
The Epstein Files is just how our society is everywhere.
Climate change is intentional now.

Just went I my first town hall in Shoreline WA to speak in support of a common-sense proposition to frustrate ICE activity in my city

Our city council, like most communities in this country, has refused to take a proactive approach to protecting immigrants, and it’s time they wake the fuck up

1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.

Hundreds of kids are still detained.

We’ll let the children’s words speak for themselves. 🧵

ICE has now spent over half a BILLION dollars just on purchasing warehouses around the country to convert into detention camps.

If these mega-camps are utilized to the full capacity ICE intends, they'll be the largest prisons in the country, with little real oversight. www.ajc.com/politics/202...

When I worked for Reason magazine during Trump's rise to power in 2016, I was explicitly forbidden by the editor in chief from writing about Trump's racism, or the violence and racism at his rallies.

It was a "sideshow," I was told.
Weird. I tried to warn libertarians about Trump

those who rose to the top under this system will never commit to giving up power or unmaking the system that benefits them to benefit you

it is not possible for them

not because they are evil but because they cannot understand anything different

(so build your own power to make them understand)
February 10, 2026 at 4:14 AM
building your own power means you are flexible, autonomous, and can make demands

mutual reliance and connection
with your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and those who share an affinity for some project (distinct groups!) builds an imposing solidarity emanating from yourselves

“oh? so what do you want people to do instead??”

there are so many important things to be done over the next year, and most of them can be done monthly, weekly, daily

they are more important and efficacious things than giving your money and power over to someone else to fix things for you
February 10, 2026 at 4:14 AM
there are people who will tell you with a straight face that the most important thing you can do right now is work to make this man, specifically, majority leader of the US Senate next year

and dozens of his colleagues believe this man, specifically, should be leading him now

what more can be said
Our DHS reform demands are exceedingly reasonable.

We're asking ICE to do nothing more than follow the standards that the vast majority of law enforcement agencies already follow.

Republicans, the ball is in your court. The clock is ticking.

They're building concentration camps with my tax money Chuck. They're torturing children. They're murdering innocent people on the street. What are you doing.

The nuns at Immaculate Conception Mission in South Dakota used to rub my 9 year old grandmother's skin and say "dirty, dirty" and called all the kids there "the Indians" kind of like how farmers would talk about farm animals.

"let's practice what you do if a cop tries to make you talk to them without a parent" was difficult because you have to play good cop bad cop and it feels bad. "people love each other" is not even a blip.

I will be honest: we are not talking nearly enough about the downstream effects of these ICE and CBP deployments.

For example: landlords and debt collectors file more aggressive collection and eviction suits with dubious (or no) factual bases, knowing that the defendants won't go to the courthouse.

Another classic post-Homan day where around school dismissal time we get a flurry of ICE vehicles all across our neighborhoods. Today one vehicle led an observer to their own home and pointed at it. This is a sick game to them, but we won’t be intimidated and we won’t stop until DHS is abolished.

We had ten years of savvy sophisticated pundits and politicos insisting this was all just sincere concern about the oil and gas industry and then the Alberta independence people just showed up and gave the game away, that it was about how the Liberals are woke and gay and importing Asian immigrants

People still have this fantasy that members of the most culturally, politically, and structurally top-down institutions in the country will suddenly decide to take down the people at the top.

When in fact these institutions exist entirely to do the opposite.

Many state officials voice opposition to federal immigration malfeasance, yet defend cooperation with ICE. Since 2007, MA DOC has sent people from prison directly into ICE custody through the 287(g) program. We need to end this program now.
