These are concentration camps. And these are the numbers they're comfortable sharing.
This is the sixth death in ICE custody in 18 days. This isn’t enforcement, it’s a system that cages people, outsources care, and shrugs when they die. Abolish ICE.

Fun fact: Black Panthers doing perfectly legal (at the time) open carry in CA in the 1960s spurred then-Governor Reagan to sign the Mulford Act into law in 1965, prohibiting it.

These people have no consistent politics outside a desperate, leering need to keep hold of power and privilege.

this is like when journalists call every trans person an activist. bitch, we just want to live.
i was talking with someone in the twin cities about how it’s not even accurate to call them protesters. they’re literally just people protecting their city from TERRORISTS.
Every time the Trump regime uses the words "funded protesters" and "outside agitators" news outlets need to cut to this photo from last week.

ICE has invaded these communities. Outside agitators don't show up in their fucking bathrobes.

@support.bsky.team @bsky.app @safety.bsky.app are suspending accounts again for no reason other than Nazi mass reporting of trans people. These mods are inept fascist cowards and should be dragged for their discriminatory transphobic policies

Nazis claim to be true Americans but are unwilling to even get burning tar poured on themselves. That is some Tory bs right there.

I gotta think that you could get large popular support for at a minimum "you can a sue a company that allows their stuff to make CSAM."
Want to stop deepfake exploitation?

Give its victims a cause of action against the deep-pocketed companies that made the AI, not just against the pseudonymous and likely judgment-proof incel losers writing the prompts.

Promise you the companies would solve the problem pretty quickly

Trump tariffs are going to finally hit Europe. When will y’all finally step up and fight this madman? It has been nearly a year since I came to Paris begging for help to only be told they “could see this coming but could do nothing.” Now where are you

Disney deleted a Thread because people kept quoting its movies at it
”Share a Disney quote that sums up how you’re feeling right now!” That’s what Disney posted on Threads the other day, and people immediately replied with lines from Star Wars, The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and even Mary Poppins. The throughline between all the quotes: they were pretty pointedly anti-fascist and clearly aimed at the current administration. Apparently, Disney either couldn’t handle the anti-fascist messaging of its own movies or was too afraid of pissing off the powers that be, because it quickly deleted the post. Thankfully, one resourceful Threads user recorded it for posterity, reminding us that yes, the human world is, in fact, a mess. Source link

Why would Ohioans vote for this carpetbagger Nazi chucklefuck?
"Medicaid provides healthcare coverage for about 26% (3 million) of Ohioans, including children, pregnant women, older adults, people with disabilities and adults with low incomes."

Klein: Were Medicare and Medicaid mistakes?

Data is correct, causal agency is (IMO) incorrect.

The vast majority of ppl who use AI to make images and video have never touched and would never touch Photoshop/AfterEffects/Illustrator/etc. The issue is Adobe trying to squeeze its users with subscriptions, and other customer-hostile behavior.
