Few illustrations reignite the vigor and nostalgia of old school AD&D more than this full page masterwork by the late, great Dave Trampier. Emrikol the Chaotic, kicking ass and taking names! As ever, his fine lines and implied narrative seal the deal. What a fantasy masterpiece.

A small little bit of both advice and a plea for using Bluesky.

This platform doesn't have an algorithm for content.

If your default response to seeing something cool is to hit like, take a second to hit the Repost button too.

Especially if it's a cool indie product, a show, some art, whatever.

This image, purporting to show the US military arresting Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, is AI-generated.

According to Google's SynthID detector, it was created using Google AI.

Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

I’ve remarked on this before but I was Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max’s age back in the Eighties. I’m a class of ‘89 kid. I played D&D and rode bikes and had awkward crushes and dealt with bullies. I think a lot of Gen X has this same deep familiarity with Stranger Things, the same feelings.

seems conspicuous that programmer commentary on genAI is split between

"oh yeah i use claude all the time now. the 10× programmer is real and he's me. i am a god"

and

"yeah my coworkers use claude all the time. they keep committing crap that doesn't work and now i spend half my time fixing it"

Just watched the new Knives Out and I think it's really important you know that the scene in the Seminary's Gym is filmed in the same place Rick Astley filmed the music video for Never Gonna Give You Up.

I saw the window tracery and immediately made my friends pause the film so I could tell them.
