I think it's important for people to realize that many of the world's largest tragedies were not inevitable; they were allowed.

This video of Chicagoans intervening to save a man from being abducted off the streets by ICE is making the rounds on Instagram.

A day late for the start of #inktober, but here's my inky #moustache for those observing. Decided to use my glass pen for this.
A cartoon of a suave person with a top hat and a giant moustache doing a little dance. A glass pen and black bottle of ink are seen on a table covered in cardboard next to the drawing.

Today is my birthday. Two years ago, I launched my dream job at NASA. Now, I face my last day of employment there. My position, along with thousands of others, evaporated at the whim of a wannabe dictator and his self-serving lackeys. I'm thankful for the time I had, but sad it's ending like this.
A smiling woman stands in front of the NASA logo and holds two thumbs up. She has blue hair and glasses and is wearing a grey sweater and black pants, plus a backpack and a purse.

Schrödinger's Shooter exists as both a deranged leftist motivated by dangerous rhetoric AND as a misunderstood troubled youth who needed Jesus until the waveform collapses

At the ACIP meeting this afternoon, a representative from the American Pharmacists Association had to point out to members that in many states, the authority for pharmacists to give vaccines is based on ACIP recommendations.

It's as if the new ACIP members don't actually know what ACIP does.

This is Finny. He doesn’t go chasing waterfalls. He carefully studies their timing and arrives in advance. 14/10 very impressive (TT: jordancain70)

Swans should be always accompanied by their own musicians.

Bestiaire of Pierre de Beauvais
Bibliothèque de l'Arsenal, Ms-3516, folio 207r.
Illustration from MS: a bearded man with a reddish-brown tunic and a red robe sits on a stool, playing a harp decorated with an animal head. Facing him on the right is a large, grey swan with an open beak. The figures are positioned on a green, grassy area with brown, undulating shapes below, likely representing ground or hills. The background is a solid red color. The entire scene is framed by a decorative border with a parchment-like background and red and white corner embellishments

“Just we two” Postcard from my collection. Copyright 1907, mailed 1909. This is by C.E. Bullard, my favorite of the Victorian/Edwardian cat photographers. He seemed to genuinely love cats and didn't restrain them or cram them into tiny costumes.
Black and white photo of two white cats on a cushion or folded blanket. A shorthaired adult cat is on the right while a fluffy long haired white kitten is snuggled into her on the left. They appear to be a cozy mother and kitten, cuddled and relaxed.

O wild and wondrous midnight,
There is a might in thee
To make the charmèd body
Almost like spirit be,
And give it some faint glimpses
Of immortality!

Let's get the petition started for the official name change. Who should we target next? Percy Bitch Shelley? Oscar Gone Wilde?
