Only 11% of Trump 2024 voters disapprove of Trump on immigration. So how exactly does the argument that they were deceived and didn't vote for this work, when they are telling pollsters they were not deceived and DID vote for this?
These takes are bizarre and run counter to what we can prove. There were more people than not who voted for mass deportation. Trump still has 53% approval for his immigration policies among white adults and 86% approval among 2024 Trump voters. They literally voted for this and they STILL approve
How can anyone know what people “implicitly added” in their heads? And how does them rationalizing the literal words being told to them make it not true that they voted on the words?

Try as they might, the checks and balances the Founders wrote to prevent a monarchy while preserving an oligarchy, were inadequate when oligarchy itself becomes a fascist ruler.

The U.S. is the only democracy in the world with:

- Lifetime terms for high court judges
- An electoral college for choosing an executive
- A legislative chamber where legislative minorities routinely and permanently thwart legislative majorities
- 75% requirements for constitutional amendments

WE WON. I am *begging* you to take note of who did this. *Not* UCLA admin—they’re still scuttling around behind closed doors, attempting to appease—but FACULTY AND STAFF, led by AAUP.
BREAKING: In AAUP et al v. Trump (wall-to-wall union lawsuit challenging the administration’s unlawful use of TItle VI to reshape the University of California system), the faculty and staff of the UC system WON!!!

We were granted our preliminary injunction! @aaup.org

Imagine saying this out loud and not expecting any kind of blowback. As @olufemiotaiwo.bsky.social says, we need to bring back shame so ghouls like Kelly are banished for life for saying shit like this.
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."
