Here's my intro - a 🧵about me!
I'm Rebecca Diamond, which is obvious from my screen name.
I was raised in the US South (Louisiana specifically) and married My Dream Canadian in 1997.
We have an adult son, 3 cats, a fish, and sometimes random strays of all varieties. +

Trump nominated a legit white nationalist to a top post at the State Department. I asked him some basic questions about his belief in the “erasure of white culture”. Watch this embarrassing, fumbling answer. Like he has never before been asked to explain his views.

I wasn't permitted to take advanced maths, as a female raised in a patriarchal Christian homeschool family. I only got as far as pre-algebra.
I am in my 3rd decade as an IT professional, and I use advanced maths almost daily as I knit :P

Thank you. I dreamed just last night that I was sitting beside a swimming pool wanting to swim...which is benign until you realize that it's been 10 years since my neurosurgeon informed me that swimming could turn me into a paraplegic because of accumulated damage.
I'm 49 and still harmed by it.

When I was 3 and my father raped me, and then my mother hit me hard enough to break my neck in two places for 'seducing' him, they did an entire makeover of my bedroom for my 4th birthday.
New furniture, all Strawberry Shortcake, etc.
