Etta James once said, “I wanna show that gospel, country, blues, rhythm and blues, jazz, rock & roll are all just really one thing.” We do, too.

We really need to double down on outwardly stating our work does not contain AI.

We're seeing it in movie credits and books, we have to start putting it on things we make and pressuring others to label their work as human made, and normalize that as much as we can, I think.
stuff like this maybe

The late Steve Cropper contributed to music not just through a particular song—but by inventing the language of rock-and-roll rhythm guitar in the early 1960s, @dgraham.bsky.social argues:
The Father of Rhythm Guitarists
The late Steve Cropper laid a template for generations of rock-and-roll guitarists.

60 years old now. Like many in the US, my 1st impression (our copy was a battered LP from my parents' teenage years) was that it was the Beatles' "folk" album, sides opening w/ "I've Just Seen a Face" & "It's Only Love." So a revelation in 1988 when I finally heard the "soul" UK original.

It is hard to come up with a better analogy for whiteness than preferring the AI simulacra of your supposed authentic art form to whatever a Black woman from your art form’s cultural geography might make.
As long as it's not Beyonce country music fans are fine with this development
