idk this is just an odd thing to be really combative about. the premise of the post is getting people to make funny jokes. it doesn't really do anything for anyone to be the person in the thread that would go "actually, i would stand my ground and die about it". that's great. not the place tho.

i feel like if ur given a prompt that says "it cannot be useful" and insist that u can do epic lawyer tricks to actually do something useful with it, u are by definition not attempting to engage with the spirit of the prompt in good faith. it's just odd to try to alt-wincon the improv exercise.

the actual story here, which the media never talks about, is that police in this country have become a discrete right-wing political operation. the story isn't about cops leaving (they're lying about that), it's about the police trying to exert influence over elections.
