Words matter. Hegseth calls suspected smugglers “narco-terrorists.” Smugglers act illegally to make money. Terrorists act illegally to make people fearful. ICE are terrorists. Smugglers are criminals. EVERYONE deserves due process/assumption of innocence. EVERYONE. It’s basic in a free country.

I saw a post from a Lutheran pastor, really trying to parse what he saw and being respectful to everyone. The most troubling thing about the event from his perspective, they never actually talked about Kirk. No stories, nothing. He was an afterthought.
