I’m a librarian and I approve of this entire thread! Especially after the burn you’d need a whole new level of information literacy, and ways to access restored knowledge as cultures rejoin.
Replies are talking about physical books, and those are nice (though Star Trek is a grim dystopia of All Hardcover, No Cover Art), but I'm actually thinking in terms of information literacy, research skills and community building.
I love SFA a lot, but at some stage we're gonna talk about how this is a series set in an educational facility, and yet there's no library.

Catching up on SFA. Skipped 3 but enjoyed 4. I really like our emo gay Klingon!!

Remember they think it’s your responsibility to vote for someone who’s ideologically opposed to your existence, so that someone who’s equally ideologically opposed to your existence in a different coloured hat doesn’t get power, and not their responsibility to give you someone worth voting for

There is zero evidence that their ban on puberty blockers has helped a single child and plenty of evidence that it has resulted in the deaths of over 20 trans children.

They know all this.

They are happy with how things are going.

When you have to pause 20 or so pages before the end of the book because you think you know where it’s headed and you have to mentally prepare…

Found all the bits I needed for my Alex Kingston Prospero cosplay! And got my tickets for LFCC! I’m excited to finally be doing this! I hope she recognises it!

I did my first workout in months! Starting callisthenics. I can do decent headstands but want to do handstands too! I’m hoping I enjoy this one enough to continue having grown board of weights and cardio!

This is honestly just vile misrepresentation

If you out someone who is a member of a marginalised group. If you out their protected characteristic

IT IS NOT GOSSIP

It is a threat to their safety, their right to privacy, their equality & their life as well

Get in the sea with thee, cruel judge!
5/ Office gossip

The judge also dismissed fears that forcing Trans+ people into third spaces could out them - which was argued as an act of privacy violation. The judge defends his dismisal of this fear on the basis that:

"A propensity for gossip is a feature of every workplace."

38 is just bigotry. Women's toilets are single-sex even if male cleaners are in their all day long, but if a trans women walks in ALARMS GO OFF, LIGHTS FLASH they're no longer single-sex.

Transphobic horseshit, as I expected from this judge

Today's ruling on the EHRC's interim guidance is a disappointing, confusing and mixed picture.

A trans woman who is a customer in a café can use the women's toilets, but if she works there she might not be able to.

Once again everyday life is being made a legal labyrinth for trans people.

The (fucking stupid) legal answer is, you both (1) don't need to come out to your employer but (2) legally shouldn't use the 'wrong' toilets (and should follow any lawful instruction from your employer). What a nonsense.
Thanks Jolyon.
As other clever people have informed me that this effectively nullifies the protections a GRC offers, does this require me to come out to my employer (which I thought the GRA made not necessary) or am I liable if I go stealth?

Well this sounds promising...
The law now for trans+ people trying to go about their lives, and for our employers and service providers, is now completely incoherent - and the government needs to act. Full analysis to follow.

Oooh! That sounds like fun! Even though currently planning on going to Paris for my Birthday a few weeks before that!

JFC
This is what they've done.
Police in Bloomington, MN just announced that one of the guys they arrested in an underage sex trafficking sting was a **background checker for ICE agents.**

He had a high security clearance in the Trump administration... and he was caught trying to abuse children. Sickening.

Realised this morning that my inability to stop thinking and stressing about work when I’m not there is probably one of those, autistic difficulty moving between tasks things. As my brain just doesn’t shut off because it’s a different time or place.

Feeling depressed for the third weekend in a row. But dying my hair green while watching Boo’s I’m going to be queer no matter what! Felt good!
