Having the coolest guy in the world officiate your marriage should be the final boss of every courtship.
Everyone in the world comes to get married at the NYC Marriage Bureau. Last week, the Mayor stopped by to officiate a few of those ceremonies.

Thank you to all the couples who shared their joy with us. Happy Valentine's Day, New York.

I had a minor adhd hyperfocus freakout about SSD prices. Spent too much on a rugged drive to hold 50+ hours of video interviews with spirit mediums/fortunetellers/accused sorcerers that I had on a crazy quilt of random drives. Finally achieved peace of mind (fleeting) after 12 hours of transfers.

I left newspapers in 2004 for very similar reasons. It never stops being sad.

Speaking of pricks: follow @joeldongsteen.northsky.social, a bot that takes every Joel Osteen's tweet, and replaces "God" with "dick." bsky.app/profile/joel...
In difficult times, more than ever, you need to have a battle cry of faith. Create a sound of victory. “Yes, this problem is big, but I know my dick is bigger.”

The XXXX wings at Jake Melnick’s in Chicago are delicious, and if you love spicy food, you can do the challenge to get a free meal, t-shirt, and firefighter’s hat!

You can always tell when slogans are focus-tested on sycophants.
“60k income? You’re the global 1%” is the kind of message that you just know is winning hearts and minds

Groundhog might be a better choice. Or entrails! I hear entrails used to be the hot pick.
A lot of modern men with power appear to have been desperate and damp for a oracle to tell them what to do, and they are not at ALL interested in if the advice the oracle provides is actually good or accurate or not - that’s not the point.

Disgusting
‘One officer told me that I "had no chance of returning to Minnesota" and that "the best thing for (me] is self-deportation." …
She offered me $2600 to self-deport.
I refused.
I wanted to talk to my attorney.
They didn't tell me the judge had already ordered my release and return to Minnesota.’

Agreed. I thought it was really good.
"Wonder Man is the most distinctive MCU entry since WandaVision and among the highest quality Disney+ shows that Marvel has produced."

It's a standalone, the show's heart is in its grounded relationships, and Josh Gad plays Olaf in the club. If you're not watching Wonder Man, you're missing out:

When This ends, and I still believe that it will, there will be a huge contingent of people who will have, step by step, tragedy by tragedy, abandoned every single value they loudly proclaimed to hold dear.

I’ve been talking a lot with people lately about the meaning of civil disobedience—its power and its consequences. This book explains it really well.
Everyone needs to read “Waging a Good War.”

It’s short, informative, and explains the brilliant tactical reasoning that the civil rights leaders used - including “intentionally getting arrested.”

Fuck that. Disarm, Dismantle, Depose.
Majority of the country now wants to abolish and/or dismantle ICE and yet Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y. told the caucus the message had to be to “restrain, reform and restrict ICE.”

Once again it looks like Schumer is about to choke after getting a massive opportunity.

So pathetic and weak.

Worth noting that one reason you’re benefitting so fully from the Star-Tribune’s timely, extensive coverage of unfolding events is that it’s a metro newspaper that hasn’t been systematically starved to further enrich shareholders and executives.
